Is this safe to use?

Your health and well-being is our biggest priority. All Jergens® products have been
thoroughly reviewed and tested to ensure safety when used as instructed and our
Jergens Essential Oil Collection has been dermatologist tested.

Have Jergens® Butter variants been tested on animals?

We do not conduct or commission animal testing on our products. We follow the conventions of the EU and other governmental bans on animal testing for cosmetics. Occasionally, laws and regulations require testing of materials outside of the cosmetics category. Since the 1980’s, Kao Corporation has been actively working together with industry associations and relevant third parties to find robust alternatives to animal testing which have been successfully adopted as international guidelines.

What is Arginine and what does it do?

Arginine is an amino acid which is found naturally in your skin. Arginine is one of the ingredients in hydralucence technology which helps provide long lasting moisturization.

What are parabens? Why are they in Jergens® lotions?

Parabens are preservatives used to keep health and beauty products fresh by preventing the growth of harmful bacteria. These compounds are amongst the most commonly used cosmetic preservatives in the world and have a long history of safe use. Parabens have been extensively studied and use in cosmetic products is allowed by regulatory authorities around the world.

Is the Jergens® Butter variants package recyclable?

The cap of the bottle, which can be easily removed, is HIIP and can be recycled where Recycling Number 5 facilities exist. The tube itself is a laminate tube made of different plastic and adhesives, therefore, it cannot be recycled.

What are the benefits of Sandalwood Oil?

Sandalwood oil is an essential oil that is known for its calming and relaxing properties due to its aromatic scent. It is also known to condition the skin.
