Jergens® natural glow express Body Moisturizers are great moisturizers that provide very effective hydration. They contain the same moisturizing ingredients found in many other Jergens® lotions (for example: glycerin, petrolatum, mineral oil) as well as Mango Butter and Vitamin E which are known to help moisturize skin. They have been specially formulated with a rich texture to leave your skin soft and smooth.
What are the color-enhancing ingredients and how do they work?
This product contains erythrulose and dihdroxyacetone (DHA). Although DHA is found in common sunless tanners, erythrulose is not typically found in common sunless tanners. It is used in prestige department store brand facial sunless tanning products. The ingredients that make up our Glow Perfecting® Complex provide more natural-looking skin color than sunless tanners, which typically contain only DHA.
Our research has optimized the combination of Erythrulose, DHA and DHA-R so that they work together to enhance and deepen your natural skin color. Erythrulose, DHA and DHA-R provide deeper skin color through chemical reactions called the Maillard Reaction. However, they deepen skin color at different rates of change and to different skin colorations. All three ingredients are safe for consumers for topical use.

Choose the Jergens® natural glow express Body Moisturizer formula that has the "STARTING POINT" color which most closely matches your natural skin tone. A good place to check for your natural skin tone is the inside (or underside) of your forearms, since these areas typically are not exposed to the sun.
Another way to choose your formula is to refer to your favorite facial foundation color.

We can suggest that you use a light application on your elbows and knees or use Jergens® Ultra Healing® Moisturizer first to smooth the skin.
Can I use different skin tone formulas for my body and face?
Yes, you may use different skin tone formulas for your body and face if you feel using different formulas will provide the best matches for the skin tones of your body and face. However, using the same skin tone will most likely have the best results.
Can I use a sunscreen with this product?
Yes. Just apply it after you use Jergens® natural glow express Body Moisturizer. Jergens® natural glow Firming Daily Moisturizer, Jergens® natural glow Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer, Jergens® natural glow Foaming Daily Moisturizer, and Jergens® natural glow express Body Moisturizer don't contain sunscreen and they don't protect against sunburn; however, Jergens® natural glow Healthy Complexion Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 20 is designed to shield skin from daily sun exposure while delivering an optimum amount of naturally glowing color. And remember that repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

Is this a sunless tanner?
Jergens® natural glow express Body Moisturizer is an effective body moisturizer, unlike most sunless tanners. It contains ingredients found in sunless tanners, but works slower than a sunless tanner. It works over 3 days, so you have the opportunity to apply product to missed spots or blend in difficult areas such as elbow, knees and ankles. Most sunless tanners work within a few hours and it is difficult to correct missed or streaky areas.
Should I wash my hands after I apply it? How do I remove stains from my skin?
You should wash your hands to prevent unwanted color on your palms or potential stains on clothes. If you do have unwanted color on your skin, it will wear off in a few days and a body or facial scrub may also be used.
Can I use this in a tanning bed?
We do not recommend using tanning beds in general. We did not test this moisturizer during tanning bed use so we recommend that you do not use it while using the bed.
I notice an odor on my skin from this product. What causes this?
As the product works to darken the skin, some people may develop an unfamiliar smell on their skin. This smell is a part of the skin darkening process. Some people have told us that it smells like they have spent a day at the beach, and their skin smells warm and toasty. The fragrance in Jergens® natural glow express Body Moisturizers masks the smell for many of the consumers we tested on, but the smell is different from person to person and for a small group of consumers, they still find the smell comes through the fragrance.
I am an African American with caramel tones. Will this even out my skin tone?
To even out caramel skin tones, try the Medium/Tan formulas for Body and Face.
